Car reportedly used in abduction of girl found abandoned

A car, in which a 14-year old girl was reportedly abducted by the driver along with Rs 23 lakh after murdering two persons, including a woman in Palani, was found abandoned in this tourist town.

Police are on the lookout for the driver Kaleeswaran, who along with the amount and the girl, was absconding, after hacking the administrator of a private nursery school and her cousin to death on March 22.

The car was found parked in front of the Botanical Gardens this morning, police said, adding, search was intensified to trace Kaleeswaran and the girl.
