Cardamom futures extend losses, down 1.05% on low demand

Cardamom prices fell by another 1.05 per cent to Rs 793 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions, tracking a weak trend at spot market on easing demand against adequate stocks position.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October month declined by Rs 8.40, or 1.05 per cent to Rs 793 per kg in business turnover of 260 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in November contracts traded lower by Rs 8.40, or 1.01 per cent to Rs 821.80 per kg in 105 lots.
Analysts said besides slackened demand at spot market, adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions, mainly kept cardamom prices lower at futures trade.
