Cardamom futures fell by 1.18% to Rs 1,080 per kg today, as traders reduced their holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
Besides, sufficient stocks in the physical market also influenced cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the commodity for March contracts eased by Rs 13, or 1.18%, to Rs 1,080 per kg with a business turnover of 48 lots.
The spice for delivery in February was down by Rs 12.30, or 1.16%, to Rs 1,046.50 per kg with a trading volume of 894 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
Besides, sufficient stocks in the physical market also influenced cardamom prices.
