Cardamom rises by 1.3% on spot demand
Restricted supplies from producing belts also helped prices

Supported by rising spot demand, cardamom prices rose further by 1.26% to Rs 851 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July month rose by Rs 10.60, or 1.26% to Rs 851.00 per kg in business turnover of 15 lots.
In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in August contracts edged up by 70 paise, or 0.09% to Rs 810.30 per kg in 183 lots.
Market analysts said besides rising domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
