Cardamom remained weak for the second straight day as prices fell by another 0.29 per cent to Rs 812.80 per kg in futures trading today as participants engaged in reducing their positions, triggered by ample stocks at spot market against subdued demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July month drifted further lower by Rs 2.40, or 0.29 per cent to Rs 812.80 in business turnover of 4 lots.
Analysts said adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions in the physical market against muted demand mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
