Case against woman clerk for demanding bribe of Rs 2000

An offence has been registered against a woman junior clerk with Aheri Panchayat Samiti today for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 2000 from a primary school teacher.

According to ACB officials, Mamtarani Shankar Pedapalliwar demanded Rs 2000 from the teacher working with the Samiti school for clearing his salary for November 2014.

ACB laid a trap wherein Pedapalliwar allegedly agreed to accept the bribe, and registered an offence against her under Anti Corruption Act 1988.
