The city police have registered a case against a 35-year-old man and his friends for offering allurements for converting to Christianity.

No arrests have been made, however, police said.

"Case has been filed against one Joseph and his friends under the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act, 1968, on the complaint of Dipak Malviya (22)," Superintendent of Police O P Tripathi said.

The accused took Dipak to 'Massihi Mandir' and offered him employment and a house if he converted, according to the complaint.

There were two or three other people there who too told Dipak that the accused were offering them inducements to convert, he told police.

Probe was on.
