Amid covering-up of short positions by speculators and a firming trend at the spot market, castorseed prices rose Rs 31 to Rs 4,080 per quintal in futures trade today.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for most-active delivery in July contracts were trading higher by Rs 31, or 0.77 per cent, to Rs 4,080 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,05,930 lots.
Also, delivery in June contracts was up by Rs 21, or 0.53 per cent, at Rs 3,964 per quintal, in an open interest of 6,380 lots.
