Chain snatchers arrested after chase, revolver seized

Two chain snatchers were arrested and a revolver was seized from their possession during a vehicle check at Perundurai-Erode main road near here, police said today.

After a chase of the two wheeler they were riding police arrested them and recovered the weapon.

On interrogation, the duo identified as Sri Kumar (31) and Vinodkumar (30), admitted to have committed snatching of gold jewels from women shop keepers at Perundurai, they said.

Police also seized a gold chain weighing 20 gms from them.
