Red chilli and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely on the back of pick up in demand from retailers and stockists amid restricted arrivals from growing regions.
Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,600-18,600 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 19,000-19,200 and Rs 21,300-21,800 per quintal.

Traders said apart from buying support from retailers and stockists, pick up in domestic and export demand, also influenced chilli and jeera prices at the wholesale kirana market.
