Chinese man arrested with 8kg gold on Nepal-China border

A 43-year-old Chinese national was today arrested with 8 kilos of gold from a check point on the Nepal-China border, customs officials said.

Chen Rong Jye was arrested from Tatopani check point, 120 km east of Kathmandu, during a regular checking by Armed Police Force (APF), an official said.

Jye had strapped the yellow metal around his waist, feet and hands, while entering into Nepalese territory, he said.

The APF sources said they are further investigating the matter.
