Class IX student raped by youth in Muzaffarnagar

A Class IX student was allegedly raped by a youth at Lilon village in Shamli district, police said here today.

Yesterday, the 13-year-old girl was intercepted by the accused when she was on her way to school. The youth Dilshad falsely told the girl that her father is ill, took her to a nearby house where he raped her, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Kumar told reporters here.

The girl has been sent for medical examination, he said, adding that a case has been registered against the absconding accused.

Meanwhile, irate people gheraoed the police station in protest against the incident, he added.
