Class XII student killed in road mishap

Tragedy struck a Plus Two student preparing for ongoing board examinations when he was killed in a road accident here while returning home from tuition today, police said.

17-year old Rathinavel of Ganapathypalayam, 20 km from here, was walking to his home when a goods auto dashed against him, seriously injuring him.

He was rushed to a private hospital where he died without responding to treatment, police said.

Police are searching for the auto driver, who fled the scene after the mishap.
