CM annunces relief to kin of victims of rain-related incidents

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today announced a a relief of Rs one lakh each to families of 13 persons who were killed in various rain-related incidents in different parts of the state recently.

Most of them were struck dead by lightning.

"I express my deep sympathies with the families of the victims," Jayalalithaa said in a statement here.

She said she had directed that Rs one lakh be paid to each of the families of the victims from the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund.
