College website hacked in Malda district

The authorities of Chanchol College in Malda district tonight filed a complaint with the police about the college website being hacked.

College Principal Tapesh Lahiri told PTI the website, which contained some "required admission related information" was found to be containing "something else" and the SDO, SDPO were apprised including a written complaint at local police station.

SDPO Rana Mukhopadhyay said a technical team would handle the issue and all angles were being explored.

Another college official said the issue was first reported by a student and then confirmed by the college authorities.

Friends of the student, not wishing to be identified, told the media there was "Pakistan Zindabad" slogan written on the site and image of a Pakistan flag.
