Complaint against TMC clerk for demanding bribe

A complaint has been registered against a clerk with Manpada ward office of Thane Municipal Corporation by the anti-corruption bureau for demanding a bribe.

Additional superintendent of police Srinivas Ghadge said that Harishchandra Patil (45) allegedly demanded Rs 5,000 from the complainant for transfer of name on the tax receipt.

The complaint was registered under Prevention of Corruption Act yesterday. No arrest has been made yet.
