Complaint filed by Kheny against Devegowda referred for probe

A local court today referred for investigation a complaint filed by Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE) Managing Director Ashok Kheny against former prime minister H D Devegowda and his associates for allegedly assaulting him. Bangalore Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate passed the order referring the matter for probe. Kheny had on January 16 last filed the complaint against Devegowda, H N Krishna, T Venkatesh and A P Ranganath and others for allegedly assaulting him when he visited a hospital to pay his last respects Adichunchanageri Mutt seer Balagangadhar Swamiji. However, when no action was taken by police to register FIR, Kheny moved court.
