Cong leader commits suicide over wife's extra-marital affair

A 36-year-old local Congress leader allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself over his wife's 'extra-marital affair.'

Police today arrested his wife Manisha and her paramour Raj.

Subash Chander shot himself to death at his residence in Domporiya Pool area of the city yesterday, police said.

A suicide note was found from the spot in which Chander alleged that his wife was having an extra-marital affair with another man named Raj, which is the reason behind him taking the extreme step, they said.

He also blamed his mother-in-law Sita for his death, police said, adding, efforts were on to nab her.
 

A case has been registered against all the three accused under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC.
