Cong leader demands sacking of MP minister over graft charge

Press Trust of India Bhopal
Congress leader Ajay Singh today submitted a memorandum to Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav demanding sacking of state Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta for allegedly taking money from a large number of unemployed youths for providing jobs in the police force.

Before submitting the memorandum, Ajay, along with several of these youths, also filed a complaint with state Lokayukta demanding a probe into the issue.

Gupta could not be contacted for his reaction on the issue.

However, in November 2011, Gupta had termed these allegations as baseless while replying during the no-confidence motion in MP Assembly.

Meanwhile, state BJP unit's media in-charge Hitesh Bajpai said that since the Congress has no issues concerning people, it is raising such baseless issues against the ruling party to remain in the limelight.
