A police constable has been
suspended for allegedly being drunk and misbehaving with a head constable on duty at the Armed Reserve Police Office here, police said.
Salem SP suspended constable Vellian, police said.
Vellian alleged that the head constable and two others had assaulted him with a wooden log. He has been admitted in a private nursing home.
A case has been registered under IPC sections 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons).
