A labourer from Punjab died in an accident inside a tunnel construction site of the Kishanganga Hydroelectric Power Project in Bandipora district.
Hardeep Singh, a resident of Jalandhar, was crushed to death last evening by a train used for ferrying workers and construction material, a police spokesperson said.
A case in the matter has been registered and the body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
