Copper prices fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 356.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in February fell 60 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 356.70 per kg in a business turnover of 216 lots.
April copper traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 362.15 per kg in three lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak global cues and subdued demand at domestic spot markets.
Meanwhile, copper dropped 0.3 per cent to $5,719.50 per metric tonne at the London Metal Exchange, while in Shanghai, the contract for April fell 0.7 per cent to 41,830 yuan (USD 6,700) a tonne.
