Copper prices moved down by 0.23 per cent to Rs 332.05 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend on low demand at the domestic spot markets.
Copper for delivery in far-month February shed 75 paise, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 332.05 per kg in a business turnover of 7 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in November was trading lower by 60 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 326.15 per kg in 416 lots.
Analysts said attributed fall in copper prices at futures trade to a weak trend in base metal at the domestic physical markets due to low demand form consuming industries.
