Copra rajapur Mumbai gains in mute trade

Copra rajapur Mumbai gained in an otherwise lackluster spices market here today due to good demand from stockists.

Copra rajapur Mumbai rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 16,700 from Saturday's closing level of Rs 16,500.

Elsewhere, other spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 740/805 (740/805),ginger bleached (per kg) 215 (215), ginger unbleached (per kg) 235 (235), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 7,300 (7,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,200 (7,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 16,700 (16,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,900 (8,900).
