Couple commit suicide by jumping in front of moving train

A newly wed couple today allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train here at the Rajghat bridge.

According to GRP sources, the deceased were identified as Suraj and Mansha both hailing from Alinagar in Chandauli district.

They had got married last week. However, their families refused to accept their marriage after which they took the extreme step, police said.

The couple went missing last evening, they said.

The bodies were recovered from the rail track in the morning and have been sent for postmortem, they said.
