Court acquits man of father's murder

District and Sessions Judge Rama Jain acquitted Sadakat yesterday after all the eye-witnesses including complainant Insaf Ali, uncle of the accused, turned hostile.

According to prosecution, 58-year-old Maroof was shot dead, allegedly by his own son Sadakat over the issue of second marriage, at Sujro village on July 18, this year.

On the complaint made by Insaf Ali, police registered a case against Sadakat.
