Court orders judicial remand for 35 Bangladeshi fishermen

A local court today remanded 35 arrested Bangladeshi fishermen to 14 days in judicial custody.
SDJM, Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas, Tapash Mitra sentenced the fishermen to 14 days in judicial custody on charge of catching fish straying into Indian territory.
The Bangladeshis had been arrested yesterday by officers of Fraserganj police station in Sundarbans.
Two fishing trawlers, several fishing nets and one ton of fish were seized from them.
