Court sentences 4 to life imprisonment

Four persons were today sentenced to life imprisonment by the court of District and Session Judge in connection with a five-year-old case in Medininagar, Palamau district.

Judge Raghuvar Dayal convicted Vinod Singh, Uday Singh, Vishundev Singh and Ram Kumar Singh for the abduction of Ravindra Kumar Singh, a crusher-owner, demanding Rs.20 lakh ransom for his safe release and firing at him with an intention to kill.

After abduction, the convicts had shot at Ravindra's head injuring him critically on July, 2010 under Nawdiha police station limit.

An FIR had been registered against the four on the statement of the victim's brother, Pravin Kumar Singh in this regard.
 

The victim and the convicts were both residents of Indrapuri of Rohtas district of Bihar and Ravindra was having his business in Bardiha under Nawdiha police station area.
