Cross desecrated in Mumbai

A cross was allegedly desecrated by a group of unidentified persons in suburban Santacruz this morning.

Police have registered a case in connection with the incident of vandalism which was reported from Juhu Tara Road.

According to social activist Nicholas Almeida, the incident took place at around 11 am when a group of 4-5 persons came to the area and desecrated the cross.

When contacted, a senior police official said a case was registered against unknown persons in connection with the incident.
