CRPF Director General Prakash Misra today called on Governor N N Vohra and briefed him about the security arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra and the pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine.
Misra called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan here and briefed him about the security situation as well as the arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra, a Raj Bhawan spokesman said.
Misra also informed the Governor about steps being taken by the CRPF to further tighten the security arrangements for the Vaishno Devi Yatra, he added.
The Governor has asked the DG-CRPF to participate in the meeting to review security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra which will be held in Srinagar on May 14.
