Crude palm oil futures edge up on spot cues

Crude palm oil prices edged higher by 0.03 per cent to Rs 592.70 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh positions following robust demand at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in September edged up by 20 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 592.70 per 10 kg in business turnover of 174 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August was enquiring higher by 10 paise, or 0.02 per cent to Rs 592.60 per 10 kg in 130 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by participants, driven by improved demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from growing regions, mainly influenced crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
