Day temperatures rise in Rajasthan

Day temperatures in Rajasthan rose by one to two degrees Celsius with Churu being the hottest place in the state, even as some areas witnessed spells of rain.

Pilani recorded 25 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours; Parbatsar 3 cm; Arnod, Chomu and Makrana 2 cm each, and Chittorgarh, Churu and Churu Tehsil 1 cm each.

The maximum temperature at Churu was 43.8 degrees Celsius, 43.5 in Ganganagar, 43.1 in Kota, 42.1 in Barmer, 42 each in Jaisalmer and Bikaner, 41.1 in Pilani, 41 in Jaipur, 40.3 in Jodhpur, 39.4 in Ajmer and 38.6 in Dabok.

The MeT department has predicted dust storm and thunderstorm at isolated placesin the state with rise in temperature in the next 24 hours.
