As part of the ECI's efforts to ensure smooth, free and fair elections in the state, Deputy Election Commissioner Alok Shukla arrived here today to review poll arrangements in Odisha.
"I will review preparations for the elections and hold discussion with officials in this regard," Shukla told reporters soon after his arrival.
He said the arrangements being made for the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha scheduled next month would be discussed at length at a review meeting with district collectors and Superintendents of Police tomorrow.

"Our aim is to ensure free and fair elections in the country," Shukla said.
The DEC also visited some special camps held in the state capital today for voter enrolment and verification of list, sources said.
Parliamentary and state Assembly elections are scheduled to be held simultaneously in Odisha in two phases on April 10 and 17.
