Delhi government's e-auction of fancy registration numbers for vehicles today fetched it a whopping Rs 5.68 lakh with the number 9090 itself going for Rs 39,000.
The seventh round of e-auction of the fancy or VIP registration numbers concluded today with 26 bidders walking away with numbers of their choice after participating in an online auctioning process.
According to the Transport department, the number 9090, which had a minimum reserve price of Rs 20,000, was sold for Rs 39,000 while the number 1199 went for Rs 30,000.
"In the seventh round, we received revenue of Rs 5,68,00 after auctioning 26 fancy numbers," a senior official said.
