Delhi witnesses scattered rains, humidity up

Scattered rains were witnessed in parts of the national capital which led to an increase in humidity.

The Safdarjung observatory, recording of which is official for the city, received 3.9 mm rainfall between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM while areas Lodhi Road and Ridge recorded 2 mm and 3.2 mm rainfall.

Palam and Aaynagar observatories received traces of rainfall in the same period, said a MeT department official.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, while the minimum settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal.

The MeT office has forecast overcast skies along with the possibility of light rain and thundershowers for tomorrow.
 

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 34 and 27 degrees, the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded was 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature had settled at 28 degrees Celsius.
