A 22-year-old woman from Delhi was killed and three other persons were injured when the car they were travelling in toppled after allegedly being hit by another speeding car on G T Road at Haryana's Murthal area, police said today.

The incident took place last evening, and the woman, who resided with her family in outer Delhi's Rohini, had gone to Murthal, a tourist spot, to celebrate Christams.

The message about the mishap reached the victim's relatives when they were heading towards a police station to report her missing case.

The woman apparently had left home telling her parents that she was going to attend a special class at a private institute in northwest Delhi's Pitampura area and would return by 6 PM, police said.

While the woman died in the accident after the car she was travelling in toppled and hit the divider after allegedly being hit by another speeding car, three of her friends suffered injuries, police added.

The woman's parents are likely to approach the police as they have alleged foul play.

As per preliminary investigations the woman had gone to Murthal in the car to celebrate Christmas with her friends, whose statements are also being taken in connection with the case. A case has been registered in Haryana, police said.

The body has been sent for postmortem and investigation is underway. It is also suspected that some of the occupants in the car were in an "inebriated state". However, it has yet not been ascertained whether the driver was drunk or not, police added.
