DHL Express sets up facility in Sriperumbudur

Logistics service provider DHL Express has set up its one of the biggest facility at nearby Sriperumbudur with a capacity to handle over one lakh shipments a year.
DHL Express India Senior Vice-President and Managing Director R S Subramanian and Raj Impex Managing Director, George Cherian were among those who inaugurated the facility, DHL Express said in a statement.
The modernised facility, spread across 8,000 square feet was to add capacity and support growth, it said.

T would serve Sembarambakkam, Melnalathur, Irungatukottai, Padappai, Gowrivakkam and Mahindra World City and other areas, it said.
"Over the past few years due to rapid industrialisation, Sriperumbudur has grown in prominence as an auto and manufacturing hub. The new service centre is our commitment to our customers in this belt and will provide reliable support", DHL Express Senior Vice President and Managing Director R S Subramanian said.
DHL Express which has been present in India for over 35 years serves 650 cities and over 33,000 locations in the country, the statement added.
