Dish TV brings voice-assisted TV viewing

Direct to home operator Dish TV India today said it is bringing voice-assisted TV viewing by launching its skill for Amazon Alexa.

The Dish TV skill will help to users find programs and provide recommendations on programs, movies, sports and music, it said in a statement.

The Dish TV Alexa Skill can be accessed on all Alexa-enabled devices such as Amazon Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Spot and Echo Dot. The skill can also be accessed with the Alexa app available on iOS and Android.

"We are excited tobringthe voice-enabledDishTV Skill to our DTH consumers. Dish TV becomes the firstDTHCompany in India topowervoice-assisted content discovery and recommendations. Franklin Templeton Alternative Investments (India) today launched its maiden fund Franklin India Long Short Equity AIF.

 

The Category III open ended alternative investment fund is aimed at well-informed investors who seek to diversify their investment portfolio away from traditional assets, or those who seek additional exposure to alternative investments, it said in a statement.

Vadodara: Siemens Healthineers today inaugurated its new 3,150-square-meters diagnostics manufacturing facility at Savli on the outskirt of the city.

The plant has a fully-functional PLM Lab set up for product development and validation, said Peter Koerte, president, point-of-care diagnostics, Siemens Healthineers.

The manufacturing unit comprises two product lines namely urine strips, Autopak Biochemistry Reagent and Reagent Grade Water Aqualab.

Koerte said the new facility aims to address the crux of critical illnesses and chronic disorders, as an aid for improving patient experience in India.
