DMK allots Chidambaram seat to VCK

The DMK today allotted the Chidambaram Parliamentary seat to its ally the VCK after deliberations between representatives of the two parties here.

The party has already allotted one seat each to IUML, Puthiya Tamizhagam and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK).

While IUML will fight from the Vellore seat, Mayiladuthurai and Tenkasi (Reserved) will be contested by MMK and Puthiya Tamizhagam respectively.

The DMK is in the process of finalising its candidates and is expected to announce the list shortly.
