A doctor was arrested today for allegedly molesting a 29-year-old pregnant woman while examining her at a private scan centre in Mettupalayam here, police said.
Dayanandar was arrested based on a complaint from the woman that he made sexual advances and attempted to molest her yesterday when she had gone to the scan centre along with her husband, they said.
The doctor was produced before a court which remanded him to judicial custody.
The accused complained of chest pain while he was taken to the prison after which he was admitted to a government hospital, police said.
