The driver and the conductor of an Uttar Pradesh State Road Corporation bus were robbed of Rs 6,000 at knife-point by some six persons travelling in the vehicle near here, police said today.

Omveer, the driver hailing from Hapur, and conductor Shubham, a resident of Meerut, were robbed when 10 passengers were travelling in the Delhi-bound bus late last night.

Six persons boarded the bus at Meerut Ghantaghar Chowk and when it reached Muradnagar, they robbed the two of Rs 6,000 at knife-point, police said.

When the driver and the conductor resisted, they attacked them with knives.

The two received injuries on their heads but were in stable condition, police said.

The six fled after committing the crime and a hunt was on to nab them.
