An alleged drug peddler was arrested and 10 kg opium worth Rs 20 lakh in the international market was seized from his possession, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the accused Jang Bahadur, a resident of Rajasthan, was nabbed from near Pratap Nagar metro station on Sunday when he came there to deliver a consignment of the contraband to his customer, they said.
During interrogation, Bahadur revealed that he used to procure opium from another drug dealer, who is based in Madhya Pradesh and used to supply them at various places in the national capital.
Further probes are on, police added.
