Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik Monday termed educated youth as the most valuable asset of a country, saying policy makers need to provide ample opportunities to them so that their abilities can be used in the best possible interest of the nation.
He was addressing the convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar.
The Governor awarded 47 gold medals to M Tech, MSc and B Tech toppers of the institute for the year 2016, 2017 and 2018.
He observed that progress of any society depended on the value it attached to strengthening and safeguarding its institutions of knowledge.
