Eight killed in carbon dioxide leak on cargo ship in China

At least eight people were killed in a carbon dioxide leak on a cargo ship in an eastern Chinese port on Saturday, officials said.

The incident happened at around 4:00 pm at Longyan port in Rongcheng city, Shandong Province, the local authority said.

The cause of the leak is under investigation, state-run China Daily reported.
