A 60-year-old lady was found dead in her room today in the morning, the police said.
Alo Majumdar, who is survived by her son, was found dead in her room by her servant.
"She used to live alone as her son stays in Jharkhand. It seems to be a case of strangulation. We are waiting for post mortem reports," officers of the Kolkata police said.
The police has already started questioning the servant and the neighbours.
