Elderly man commits suicide at Vrindavan guest house

A 70-year-old pilgrim from Kolkata allegedly committed suicide at a Vrindavan guest house in Mathura district, police said here today.

Deviranjan Shah took the extreme step last night by hanging himself to a ceiling fan of the guest house, situated on the Ramanreti Marg, Police Inspector Rajendra Nagar said.

Police was informed about the incident when a sweeper entered the room this morning and saw the body.

In a suicide note found, the deceased has not held anyone responsible for his act.

The body was sent for post mortem.
