Elderly woman killed, 4 injured as roof caves in

A 60-year-old woman was today killed and four others, including two children, were injured after the roof of their house collapsed when they were sleeping, in Gandhi Camp area here.

Raj Rani and four of her family members came under the debris of the roof that caved in while they were sleeping, police said.

Prima facie, the building was weak and last night's torrential rain might haven taken its toll on it, they said.

The injured have been hospitalised, while the body of the woman has been sent for postmortem, they said.
