Taking a serious view of encroachment on the land of the cooperative farming committee in Dehradun, the UttarakhandHigh Court has ordered the suspension of the Assistant Development Officer (Cooperative).

A recall application filed against the same was also dismissed.

Earlier in 2014, the court had directed the cooperative department to clear the encroachment upon 38 acres of

cooperative farming land at Vikasnagar, Sindhiwali.

A division bench of justices Rajiv Sharma and Lokpal Singh noted yesterday that even after four years of the said order, the encroachment in the area was intact.

Taking note of the negligence, the court passed the suspension order of Assistant Development Officer (Cooperative) Surendra Singh Bisht.
