Eva Longoria to star in action film

Longoria, 37, is moving on from the character of Gabrielle Solis from 'Desperate Housewives' with the action movie which also stars Billy Bob Thornton, reported Showbiz spy.

"This couldn't be more different to Desperate Housewives. This is not really one for the girls. This is real boys' stuff. It is very violent. There is a lot of blood and guts and shooting and guns," she said.

Longoria said she also wants to produce films.

"The reason I love to produce is I have a very strong business mind so I like putting the pieces together. I like the creative process" she had said.
