Ex-servicemen shot dead in UP

An ex-serviceman was shot dead allegedly over some old enmity in Sirohi village here, police said today.

Shashikant Rai (58) was going for a walk when he was killed near a school in the village yesterday, they said.

The family members have lodged a case against the husband of the village pradhan and three others.

Further investigations are underway but the case appears to be a fallout of some old enmity. Culprits will be nabbed soon, police added.
